How Productive Are You Really?

Productivity. 5 simple tips for more productivity, letting go of distractions and getting it done. Stop just thinking about it and do it. Things take longer to actually accomplish if we spend too much time thinking about it, thinking about how to do it and when to do it. Setting a timer for a specific task and a specific time helps you become much more productive.

5 Simple Tips for Productivity

  1. Set the timer for a set time for a specific task
  2. turn off all other distractions (cell phone, FaceBook, tv, radio, etc.)
  3. focus solely on that task during the allotted time
  4. challenge yourself to complete it before the timer rings
  5. get it done the best you can in that time and tweak it later

  • Short and sweet! I like that. Those 5 tips really are simple, yet so difficult for people in this multi-task era. Your video is awesome. It really makes so much sense. Set a timer and do it! You’re right, that a lot of the times gets wasted thinking about doing something, planning on doing it, getting ready to do it … Sigh. Then half the day is over. I like your way better and I am going to take your advice to heart. Thanks, Coach! All the best.

  • So totally true Bruce Lee!
I am all about why put off today what you can do today~

In just reading about setting a timer immediately began to stress me out, yikes.
It also reminded me very quickly of the uneasy feeling of someone watching over my shoulder when I am doing something, I wonder what a therapist would say about that? 🙂

Aside from how your tips affected me, they most definitely would be very effective for most who have difficulty staying on task and/or loosing track of time.

    Have a very productive day~
