I was at a workshop with Challenge Day weekend before last. It is called Living The Change. I have done it a few times before but I knew I needed to do it now. I go to their workshops for my own personal “tune ups”. I think we all should do something like that at least once a year. They create such a save and loving environment. I was excited to be with old friends and make new ones. I had the most amazing 3 days!

While doing the workshop, I realized that I needed more personal support in my life. I am the support person in so many other’s lives that it would help me to have support. Being a life coach, I work from home and make my own schedule. There are constantly at least 3 or more projects going on at the same time. It can be overwhelming and at times frustrating.

Two of my dear friends who attended the workshop with me came up with a great idea. We created a private Facebook group for us to communicate with each other in. We are using this group to “tell on ourselves”. We share where we are not following through, what is not working as well as what we are proud of achieving. All three of us have very different life paths but we are all committed to being the best person we can be. We all believe in authentic communication as well as pushing one another to do better.

Not only is this group already helped me. It has created a beautiful intimacy between the three of us. Those things we do or don’t do that we would rather others not know about, we share them here. It is about being open, vulnerable and most of all real. Learning about where their struggles and success are has helped me in my own.

I highly suggest you try this. Just remember that you do it with a lot of love and respect for who the other people are. I am honored to be part of such a group with two of the most amazing women I know. They inspire me, challenge me and most of all, love me no matter what.
