My daily gratitude practice dramatically changed my life when I redesigned it almost 7 years ago. Being thankful and open has allowed the doors of abundance open up. Life began to have a beautiful flow to it.

In the beginning, I struggled to discover what I was grateful for. I was physically broken due to a life threatening beating I had sustained, my heart was shattered, I was overwhelmed and scared. I began my practice very simple. I was thankful that I had a soft bed to heal in. I was thankful for my cats that kept me company. I was thankful for my friends that called every day to support me.

Gift-Giving

Soon I began to walk through life in a state of gratitude. Every day my heart swells with joy at the things I see, hear or do. I began to spend time with like minded people and we would share our gratitudes. Life had become this vibrant, incredible joyous journey.

I wake up every day excited to be living my life this way. I do my gratitudes and set my intentions for the day. All day long I notice what I have to be grateful for. I make sure to let the people in my life know how much I appreciate them on a regular basis. When the day ends, again I go over my gratitudes for the day.

I watched this video and it is so beautiful. The message is clear, be grateful for the gift of today. It is a video of Gratitude with Louie Schwartzberg at TED Talks. Let it touch your heart.
