Will it matter in a year? Learn how where you put your attention, you create your reality. Are you doing and visioning things that will support your dreams?

We create what we put our attention on. Sometimes we put our attention on things that in the long run, really don’t matter. So how do you really know if it is important enough to put your attention on?

Ask yourself this simple question: Will This Matter in a Year?

If the answer is yes, then focus on it and give it the attention it deserves. If the answer is no, then find a way to let it go.

Why spend your valuable time on things that won’t matter in a year? Our time is one of our most value resources. Once you spend it, you can’t get it back.

Take the time to notice where you are focusing your attention and where you are spending your time.

Is it in your best interest?

Make a list of the things that are important to you right now, where you spend your time and what you do. Take the time to write it all down. Then Choose the top 15 things from the list. Out of those, which ones will not matter in a year? Are there things that you are spending your time on now that are just using up your valuable time? If so remove them. Let them go.

Life is a precious gift and it is finite. Once you spend your time on something, you can’t get it back. Be thoughtful of where your time goes so that you can get the results that you desire. Ask yourself: “Will it matter in a year?”.

  • I ask myself all the time is this in my best interest? Will it matter in a year is great as well!

    Will it matter tomorrow?

I think we have become a little obsessed with all the future orientated planning that we have forgotten what matters right now!!

    Good post!

    Thanks
